Dr. Lara and staff are amazing. They helped with all my guinea pigs. Even when they heard about some passings,they sent lovely cards for their condolences. I have an almost 7 yr old guinea whos the last of our guineas and they have helped so much when I have a last minute mini emergency for my little senior gal.

We took our dog with symptoms of diabetes. The receceptionist were not very friendly. The technician and vet were much nicer. Our dog does not like being without my wife. They wanted to keep him for 3 days for testing. We asked how often he would be tested. They said 3 times a day. We asked about bringing him in early each morning and picking him up each evening. They seemed to be annoyed with this. They acted like the kennel charge was their priority. The employees close at 6 PM and open at 7 AM. That is 13 hours with no one attending to the animals. I wonder how they would like being in a small cubical (basically a large pet carrier for the pets). Finally,they agreed. Each time we picked him up,he would go outside and urinate for extended amounts of time. Then,he would drink large amounts of water. This happened every time. The staff does not communicate very well with each other. The receptionist never got any friendlier. We will never put our pet through this at this pet hospital again. They need to learn that our pets become our children when you get older. We were very dissatisfied with the service and lack of caring. We see a lot of good reviews on their site. This is why we originally came here. That just proves that reviews can be manipulated. Once you are one on one tells the real story.

The vet was great and so was the assistant. However the front desk are terrible. They’ll watch a dog go for your animal aggresively enough that even when your animal has an accident out of fear they will not address it. This is the second time I’ve been here and it’s the second time that’s happened. Normally this wouldn’t have bothered me,but the owner also proceeded to let his dog rub his teeth on my significant other who has been mauled by a dog before.

Edit for reply: this occurred after leaving the exam room while waiting on the ability to pay.
